UK Government to Extend “Lockdown” amid COVID-19

UK Government has decided to extend its COVID-19 Lockdown. The Official statement was made by Dominic Raab in his recent press brief. The foreign Secretary said that the disease must not be allowed to kill more people and the only way to battle this virus is Lockdown.

“We still haven’t reached the peak of the virus so it’s too early to lift the measures we have put in place. We must stick to the plan as we have got evidence that clearly shows we have moved beyond the peak,” says Raab.

The decision was made after UK recorded 881 new deaths in 24 hours, taking total to 7,978. Now the first priority of Government is to stop further spread of virus by taking more strict precautionary measurements over the upcoming days. Daily Mail
