New Zealand reports decline in COVID-19 cases for the consecutive 4th day

After adopting strict precautionary measures including Lockdown and Social Distancing restrictions, New Zealand has achieved something that many countries wish they could achieve: Consecutive fourth day decline in COVID-19 positive cases.

New Zealand Health Authorities have confirmed 29 new cases from all across country on Thursday, bring national total to 1,239. The country had reported 1 corona-positive death so far whereas the numbers of recovered patients were 317 as of Wednesday.

“We are turning a corner and your commitment means our plan is working. At the halfway mark, I have no hesitation in saying that New Zealanders have done great job since the last two weeks,” says New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern

New Zealand has already imposed strict Lockdown all across country and residents are advised to obey Social Distancing Measures to slow down spread of this deadly pandemic. Now Government is also thinking to tightening Border Restrictions over the upcoming days. CNN
